New Rules to Prevent Concussions in Football Take Effect

The first day of practice for many high school football teams, included several updated rules to protect players from concussions.

The changes, from the Michigan High School Athletic Association, include not allowing full pads until the fifth day of practice and limiting practices to three hours or less. Live, collision practices, can also only be held once a day.
