A new bill that is suggesting that year-round school should be an option. The bill, which sets aside two million dollars to make this happen, was approved in a house committee Monday. That money could be used to pay for ventilation and air conditioning to make summer classes more comfortable. Democrat Andy Schor proposed the legislation. Any more snow days and local students may be taking classes in the summer, whether that bill becomes law or not. Eaton Rapids and Grand Ledge are the two latest districts to add-on days to the end of the year to make up for cancellations. Kids in Eaton Rapids are looking at an extra week.
