LANSING - Lansing Police Department is reporting that the city saw a drop in most crimes during the first half of 2012. Statistics accrued by the FBI show that both violent and property related crimes were down significant percentages compared to the same time period the year before. Violent crimes declined by 18% and property crimes decreased 3.5%. FBI statistics say robbery declined by 29%, burglary declined by 13.5 % and rape declined by 12.2%.
