More than 90 dogs rescued from a suspected puppy mill in Howell are being treated at a temporary shelter. Livingston County sheriff's deputies and Animal Control officers searched the property Wednesday after getting several tips about the dogs being in poor shape. The Humane Society says many of them are poodle mixes matted fur as well as eye and dental problems. Officers found several adult cats and at least two litters of kittens on the property. The Humane Society offers rewards for information leading to animal cruelty convictions for puppy mill operators.
