MONROE, Mich. (AP) -- George Armstrong Custer and his wife, Libbie, are celebrating their 150th wedding anniversary.
Well, maybe not them, exactly.
The Monroe County Historical Museum is hosting an anniversary reception for the Custers on Sunday. The museum sits on the site of the Bacon Homestead, which is where the original wedding reception was held in 1864.
Two local residents will portray the military man and his wife, the daughter of a prominent judge.
One of Monroe's favorite sons, George Custer was a Civil War hero who later met his end at the Battle of Little Big Horn as his 7th Cavalry policed the western territories in 1876.
Libbie Custer lived more than a half-century after her husband's death at Little Big Horn.
