LUDINGTON, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities in western Michigan say a Ludington police officer was shot and wounded while responding to a dispute between a husband and wife.
Mlive.com (http://bit.ly/LePqMQ ) says gunfire broke out Tuesday during a standoff. Authorities say the officer was wounded, as was a male suspect.
The officer was taken to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids for treatment.
The suspect remained holed up inside a house Tuesday evening.
