Michigan State Knocked Out of NCAA Tournament by UConn

The Spartans (29-9) bid for Tom Izzo's seventh Final Four ended with an Elite Eight loss to the Connecticut Huskies (30-8), Sunday, with a final score of 60-54.

Gary Harris and Adreian Payne had 22 and 13 points, respectively. Postseason star for the Spartans, Branden Dawson, came away with just two, as MSU had difficulties scoring in the paint all game. Overall, the Spartans had 16 turnovers on the day.

This loss ends Tom Izzo's streak of having every senior class go to at least one Final Four. UConn will take on Florida, next week, at the Final Four in Dallas.
