A travel website is looking for the next wonder of the world, and it could be right here in Michigan.
Five locations around the state have been nominated as the "8th Wonder of the World" by VirtualTourist.com.
The locations include the Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Frankenmuth, the Saugatuck Harbor Natural Area, the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
There are 300 locations in all, ranging from tropical locations like the Great Blue Hole in Belize to icons like the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
Voting is open until September 30.
