LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan is looking for someone to lead its civil rights department following the April retirement of executive director Daniel Krichbaum.
The department says the executive director will be responsible for implementing policies recommended by the state Civil Rights Commission.
Applications for the position are due Friday June 7. The commission selects the executive director.
The commission investigates civil rights complaints and carries out educational programs and outreach.
