Meijer is taking action to promote health and fitness in Michigan with the annual "Meijer Games." The torch stopped at the state capitol Thursday afternoon. This is the fifth year for the games, which include more than 40 Olympic-style events. "The more important message is working with the Michigan Fitness Foundation and the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness to bring the importance of sport, the benefits that sport brings, and the health it brings to Michigan's residents," said Mike Guswiler, president of the Michigan Sports Commission. The torch, which was made in Michigan, was given to Governor Rick Snyder. The games start Friday night in Grand Rapids.
