A Canadian man accused of wanting to have sex with a 12-year-old girl from Kansas has now been extradited to that state.
The FBI took Stewart Kenneth Cody McGill, 20, at 8:30 this morning.
The US attorney for Kansas is charging McGill with one count of "transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of having sex".
Prosecutors say McGill met the girl while playing "World of Warcraft" online, and drove from Canada to get her.
He got pulled over for speeding in Eaton County on Friday, and had to give up his license to make sure he'd come back to pay the fine.
An Amber Alert was issued after the girl left home.
A witness helped state troopers track McGill down outside Charlotte Friday afternoon.
He waived his extradition hearing on Monday.
The federal charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
