NBC News is reporting that comedian Robin Williams died suddenly on Monday morning inside his residence in Tiburon, California, according to his wife and publicist.
According to the Marin County Sheriff's Department, a 911 call was placed at 11:55 AM, reporting that an adult male was found unconscious, and not breathing at a home in Tiburon.
The man was pronounced dead at 12:02 PM, and has been identified as Robin WIlliams.
The county coroner suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a final determination of the cause of death is pending until a full investigation is completed.
Williams moved to Bloomfield Hills with his family when he was young. His father was a Ford Motor Company executive. He attended Detroit Country Day School, before his family moved to Marin County in northern California.
