With the cold finally loosening its grip on Mid-Michigan, the maple syrup is flowing a bit easier as well.
The Fenner Nature Center held its 40th annual Maple Syrup Festival Saturday giving people the change to join in on activities and demonstrations, all maple syrup related of course.
Visitors also enjoyed plenty of sweet treats, including homemade maple cream.
"We do call it maple creme, but it is not,,there is no cream, no dairy products involved," K.C. Horstman, a volunteer at the festival.
"Still no added preservatives or anything like that. Still just straight up sap you get from the tree, it's just the next process."
