GREEN OAK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a 36-year-old man has died from stab wounds sustained when a 46-year-old man attacked him at a factory in Washtenaw County before fleeing and fatally shooting himself when police cornered him on an expressway.
Washtenaw County Sheriff Jerry L. Clayton says that Shaun M. Psimer died Thursday of complications from the wounds he sustained Monday.
The sheriff also has released the name of the killing suspect, Robert D. Richmond. Police in Livingston County's Green Oak Township said earlier that he was a resident of Howell.
The stabbing happened at Mike's Welding and Fabrication in Ypsilanti Township, and the suicide happened on U.S. 23, about 12 miles north of Ann Arbor.
Clayton says in a statement that investigators still haven't determined a motive for the attack.
