LINCOLN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities in the northern Lower Peninsula say that a 79-year-old man was found dead in a lake in Clare County.
Sheriff John S. Wilson said in a statement Sunday that the body was pulled from Shingle Lake about 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The lake is in Lincoln Township, about 40 miles northwest of Midland.
Wilson says rescuers attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation but couldn't revive the man, and he was declared dead at the scene.
The sheriff says the man was from Harrison. But didn't immediately release his name or give the cause of death.
