Update: Man Arrested For Friday Shooting in Lansing

The suspect in a Friday night shooting in Lansing is expected to be arraigned soon on a charge of assault with intent to commit murder.

Police say the 22-year-old Lansing man pulled out a gun and shot the 25-year-old victim after an argument, shortly before 10:00 p.m. on the 500 block of East Edgewood.

Investigators found the victim lying in a parking lot with a gunshot wound to his mid-section.

He was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

A K-9 team tracked the suspect to an apartment on the 400 block of Edgewood, where the he was arrested.

The 22-year-old remains in jail.
