MSU Tuition Hike Vote Today

By  |

We're expected to find out today if Michigan State University students will have to shell out more for tuition.

The board of trustees is meeting this morning and is expected to vote on a split tuition hike.

MSU freshmen and sophomores would pay two percent more, while juniors and seniors would pay three-point-six percent more.

President Lou Anna K Simon tells us the last two years of college costs more -- and that's the reason why MSU wants to charge upperclassmen more.

The board's meeting starts at 9:30 a.m.

In addition to the vote on the tuition hike, the board is also expected to give the OK on renovations at Spartan Stadium, Munn Ice Arena and the former State Police Post.

We're sending a crew over to campus today and we'll tell you what the trustees decide, tonight on News 10.
