Michigan's roads and bridges aren't exactly in the best of shape.
As state lawmakers continue to battle over how to fund much-needed road repairs, engineering professors at MSU think they might have one solution.
Their smart infrastructure sensors are currently being developed with help from the U.S. Dept. of Transportation in hopes of creating a device that can self-diagnose damage and mechanical failures in pavements and bridges.
WILX's Josh Sidorowicz will be getting a first-hand look at the prototypes and will have more tonight on News 10 at 11.
