Lansing-based American Eagle Superstore has been fined for violating child labor regulations, and will have to give 119 employees back pay after denying them overtime.
The U.S. Dept. of Labor says the company paid warehouse, store and fireworks tent workers less than minimum wage, and failed to pay them time-and-a-half when they worked more than 40 hours in a week.
It also found the company allowed minors to operate forklifts and work in fireworks warehouses.
The violations happened in Michigan, Indiana and South Carolina.
