The Stockbridge Advanced Underwater Robotics Team is in Alpena this weekend, participating in an international ROV competition.
More than 60 teams from 18 states and 13 countries are taking part in an underwater robot competition at Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary in Alpena.
The 13th annual Marine Advanced Technology Education Remotely Operated Vehicle International Competition runs through Saturday and is expected to bring hundreds of people to the area.
Teams will work with their robots in a 600,000 gallon tank and be judged on their performance, as well as their engineering and communication.
The Stockbridge team participated in a similar competition in May for the Great Lakes Region.
