As local Michigan State Troopers mourn the loss of Trooper Paul Butterfield, they say he did everything right in terms of traffic stop protocol.
Trooper Butterfield was fatally shot, Monday, while conducting a traffic stop in West Michigan's Sherman Township. Sgt. David Winters, of the Michigan State Police Training Academy, tells News 10 Butterfield did exactly as he was taught while in training.
