Eaton Rapids is one of three Michigan fire departments that will be getting money from the federal government to improve equipment and service.
U.S. Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow announced the grants on Wednesday from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Eaton Rapids will be getting $100,934 for operations and safety upgrades.
Also getting grants are the Unadilla and Putnam Townships.
Unadilla will be getting $138,938 to buy new equipment and the Putnam fire department will be getting $91,328 to improve its operations and safety.
