Six local fire departments will announce plans to share services at a press conference Monday. Lansing, East Lansing and Delta, Meridian, Delhi and Lansing Townships have settled on three new "fire protection agreements." The departments have slowly been adopting the recommendations of a study released by Plante Moran last June. It suggested they could save more than $10 million a year if they merged into one department over the next six years. Check News 10 and wilx.com Monday for details on the announcement.
