Lansing Murder Suspect Identified

LANSING - Police have identified a suspect in the murder of a man earlier this week. Herbert Maurice Alford is wanted for the murder of 23-year-old Michael Dawayne Adams. Police say Alford shot and killed Adams in the parking lot of the Pleasant Grove Plaza on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 18th.
Alford is an African-American male, 38-years-old, 6-feet tall, and 210 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
Police say Alford should be considered armed and dangerous. If he is seen, immediately call 9-1-1. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Alford is encouraged to call CRIMESTOPPERS at (517) 483-STOP (7867) or leave a message with Detective Jorge Gomez at (517) 483-4821. Victim was 23-year-old Michael Dawayne Adams.
