LANSING - A man is shot twice in the leg in Lansing. The 21-year-old man told police that he was walking along the 1300 block of Sunset Avenue Monday night at about 7:30, when he noticed a car was following him. He tells police the driver exited the vehicle and started shooting at him with a handgun, striking him twice in the leg. The man was able to flee to a nearby apartment building, where he called for help.
The victim tells police that he has had a long-standing dispute with the shooter, but couldn't tell police the man's name, or give any definitive description. He did say the shooter was driving a dark colored Chrysler Sebring.
Lansing police say the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
