LANSING - Police say they are investigating why a Lansing man was shot in his face Friday night while he was laying in his bedroom.
The 40-year-old man told police he was in bed in the 2100 block of Moffitt Street about 11:40 p.m. when a bullet was fired through his window and struck him in his chin, said Lansing police Sgt. Guy Pace.
Pace said the injury was not life threatening. The victim checked himself into a Lansing hospital, where he was treated.
Pace said the bullet apparently was fired from a wooded area behind the home.
