Lansing wasted no time getting the ball rolling on a tax credit to lock up a $37 million expansion at GM's Lansing-Delta Township plant. It was assigned to the Development and Planning Committee Monday night. "I think it's exciting to be able to expand, especially as GM continues to find Lansing and the Lansing area to be a destination to grow, I think that's just remarkable," said council Vice-President Judi Brown Clarke. The current plan is a $500,000 credit over 12 years. It's expected to bring back $2.6 million for Lansing and $1.4 million for Delta Township during that time. GM has not said what it has in mind for the expansion. Stay with News 10 and for updates as the council prepares to vote on the credit.
