Lansing Catholic High School broke ground on a new chapel Wednesday morning with Bishop of Lansing Earl Boyea there to bless the construction site. The chapel has been in the works for years. The school also has plans to renovate its music areas and auditorium. "This is all part of our 'Heritage 2' campaign to really put a fresh faces on many of our fine arts spaces and spiritual areas for the students here at Lansing Catholic," said the school's director of development, Jean Morgan. The chapel will be named after Pope John Paul II, who was canonized by the Catholic Church Sunday.
