A man who went missing Friday afternoon is alive and well and is back with his caretaker.
Lansing Police found 58-year-old Nkurunziza Pascal Saturday at approximately 12:40 p.m. He was staying at the Advent House on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Police reported Pascal missing late Friday night saying he had disappeared from the 800 block of W. Willow St. A helicopter was called in to help in the search. A Community Emergency Response Team and Michigan Search and Rescue also aided.
Pascal, who police say had the mental capacity of a five-year-old, apparently spent the night at the Volunteers of America facility, police said. He was not detected because of an apparent error -- he was checked in with his first and last names switched. Pascal was released with the rest of the people who stayed overnight. From there he wandered to the Advent House.
Pascal didn't sustain any injuries.
