The skies above Jackson will be full of colorful hot-air balloons this weekend as they celebrate the 2014 Hot Air Jubilee.

The festival takes place at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson on July 18-20. Admission to the festival is free, and parking is $5.

The festival kicks off with an early morning launch on Friday at 6:30 a.m., and at 4 p.m. the event opens with craft booths, food concessions, and a carnival.

Kids will be able to enjoy the "Kids Kingdom" and festival-goers can also watch laser shows at Hurst Planetarium. There will be live entertainment from a variety of acts over the course of the festival.

There will be evening balloon launches, weather permitting, and at dusk balloons will be lit from within for the "night glow."
