Jackson Holiday Parade Tonight

Tonight's Christmas Parade kicks off a number of holiday events in Jackson.
The parade starts at 6 p.m. on West Cortland Street, then goes north on First Street, east on West Michigan Avenue, and ends on Francis Street.
The parade's theme is "Let It Snow."
Free hot chocolate will be offered at the Jackson Citizen Patriot's office on West Michigan Avenue and South Mechanic Street.
A number of other events will be held at downtown stores on Saturday as part of "Shop Your Community Day."
Jackson artists will have their creations for sale at the Jackson Gift Gallery, which opens Saturday next to City Hall.
There will also be a free concert from the Jackson Symphony Orchestra at Bucky Harris Park, and free carriage rides in downtown.
