SUMMIT TWP., JACKSON CO. -
Jackson Community College campuses were ordered locked down for for about an hour-and-a-half Friday afternoon.
The lockdown was ordered shortly after 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, after a former student made threats during a phone call to the school. The main Jackson County campus, and the Hillsdale and Lenawee satellite campuses were affected.
Jackson County Sheriff Steve Rand says that the student who they believe made the call was tracked down and has been taken into custody. He says based on their investigation, they do not believe any students or staff were ever in danger.
