Phoenix, AZ - An English professor at Arizona State University is claiming excessive force by campus police.
Doctor Ersula Ore was stopped and arrested for allegedly walking down the middle of the street on College Avenue back in May.
Police say Ore refused to show her license or put her hands behind her back. They say she then wrapped her leg around the officer in an attempt to throw him down.
The dashboard video shows that she would eventually be taken down to the pavement and handcuffed.
Ore faces criminal charges of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
