Expansion Boosts Business, Brings Road Upgrade to Local Townships

It'll be a busy couple of years at the Jolly/Okemos intersection on the border of Meridian and Alaiedon Township, as the nearby Jackson National Life expands.

The intersection itself is due for an upgrade that includes adding turn lanes. The portion of Okemos Road to the south is also getting widened. However, the latest news comes in the form of new businesses.

Meridian Twp. Director of Community Planning and Development says Hilton recently submitted an application to build a suite hotel in the area. MSUFCU is also approved to break ground on a new location.
