Infant Death Now Considered Homicide

LANSING - The suspicious death of a 3-month old Lansing child has now been classified a homicide investigation by police. Lansing police say they have a person on interest in custody, as they investigation the death of Janayjah Sanders. Police say they are working with the prosecutor's office in determining possible charges. Police had no further details about the person on interest or how that person was connected to the infant.

Police say they were called to a local hospital Friday afternoon on a report that a three-month old girl had severe internal injuries. The child died later that night.
