Accused I-96 Shooter; Raulie Casteel to Begin Trial Tuesday

HOWELL (WILX)-- It's been more than a year since Raulie Wayne Casteel was arrested for shooting at vehicles on Interstate 96.

He's charged in connection with 24 shootings that took place in Oakland, Ingham, Shiawassee, and Livingston counties. One person was injured.

He did not appear for his pre-trial conference Monday, and no plea made.

His trial in Livingston County is set to begin on Tuesday.

In this trial Casteel is charged with terrorism, assault with intent to murder, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent and discharging a weapon from a vehicle.
