BATH TOWNSHIP - A hunter has been found dead in Bath Township. Police report that the body of 60-year-old Michael James Wright of Grand Ledge was found at the base of a tree that had a portable hunting platform in it. The statement to the media says foul play is not suspected. It does not say whether Wright died due to natural causes or an accident. Autopsy results are pending. Officers discovered Wright's body on Tuesday in the 1300 block of South Upton road, north of Clark Road. Nearby residents told officers they saw the hunter leaving his vehicle on Satuday.
The incident remains under investigation by the Bath Township Police and the Department of Natural Resources.
