Hundreds of people are expected in downtown Lansing Saturday for the Color Run.
Racers picked up packets for the 5k at Playmakers on Friday.
The run raises money for the Sparrow Children's Center and Kelleigh's Cause, which raises awareness about arteriovenous malformations. Those are abnormal blood vessels that can be fatal.
Last year's Color Run was a success.
"We're getting an outpouring of support from people all over the state, and states, and all over the country, different countries, that want our help with having that happen in their state or country," said Lori Gustafson, who organizes the Color Run.
Runners wear white and are covered with paint throughout the race.
