Hundreds of people celebrated past and present service members during a parade in downtown Williamston today.
We spoke with a Vietnam veteran who says he still gets overwhelmed when people thank him for his service.
And he says that's not how many troops were treated in the seventies.
Buzz Sodeman told us, "Two weeks ago or one week ago, I was up at the Manistee and we did Tightlight for Troops, and that was very emotional . . . when we came back up the Manistee River and people were lining up on both sides of the river and waving flags."
Veterans were honored across Mid-Michigan today.
