House Committee Addresses Utilities on Ice Storm Response

The Lansing Board of Water and Light, Consumers Energy and DTE Energy all took turns addressing the House Energy and Technology Committee, today, on their responses to the December ice storm that knocked power out for hundreds of thousands.

Each detailed restoration efforts and areas where they could improve in the future. Lawmakers were particularly critical of the BWL, after many customers remained without power more than a week and a half following the storm.
