A home in the Frandor area in East Lansing burned to the ground early Wednesday morning.
Flames broke out at the house on Frances Avenue just after 4 a.m. The flames spread to a nearby house causing minor damage. Neighbors were evacuated safely.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Lansing Police had to close Francis street between Vine and Fernwood because of a live wire on the ground.
The wire was cleaned and the street is now re-opened.
