MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Jimmy John's sub shop on Hagadorn Road in Meridian Township is robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday night. Employees tell police the man entered the restaurant at about 11:30PM, showed them a handgun, and demanded money. Employees complied. The employees say the thief left through a back door and ran into a car waiting for him on Hannah Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, red Converse All Star tennis shoes with a white band around the sole, aviator-style sunglasses, and a red baseball cap with a black brim (possibly a Chicago Blackhawks hat).
A surveillance photo has been provided.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Meridian Township Police Department at (517) 853-4800 or (517) 483-STOP. An anonymous tip may also be submitted on Meridian Township Police Department's various social media sites.
