Governor Wants Civil Rights Law Changed

Governor Snyder says he'd like to see lawmakers change the civil rights law to add protections for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender citizens. The governor says he'd like it done by the end of the year. Chambers of Commerce in Detroit and Grand Rapids support it. If the law is changed, it would be illegal to fire or not hire an employee simply because of his or her sexual orientation.
