Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
A man was pulled from a river bank near River St. and Lenawee in Lansing Friday afternoon by a few men who were working nearby.
They tell us he had fallen and was lying face-down, almost drowning, when they pulled him out and called 911.
"It looked like he had a cane, so it looked like he might have been walking along and tripped over something and fell and hit his head maybe," says Eric Brown, who rescued the man. "It's a blessing from the Lord we just happened to be there and had enough muscle to pull him up out of there."
Paramedics arrived quickly and took the man away in an ambulance. We don't know his condition, but he was conscious and talking.
