An event more than a hundred years in the making will take place in Grand Ledge Tuesday.
Staff from the Bridge Street Wedding Chapel-- formerly known as the "First Congregational Church"-- will be opening a time capsule from the building's cornerstone. It was placed there in 1903 and could contain items dated as far back as 1867, when the church was first built. The time capsule will be opened at 5:30 Tuesday at the chapel located at 200 North Bridge Street. The public is welcome to come out and see what's inside.
