GM is recalling more than 8,500 Buick LaCrosse and Chevrolet Malibu sedans because of a problem with the brake assembly. USA Today reports the rear rotors may have been installed in the front brake system. That could shorten pad life and increase the chances of an accident. No crashes or injuries related to the recall have been reported. Owners will be notified by GM and can request a loaner while waiting for inspection and repairs.
