Free access to Michigan to state parks, attractions with Michigan Activity pass

The last day of school is right around the corner and if you're trying to think of fun things for the kids to do while on summer break, how about a visit to a Michigan State park?
Getting into a state park, campground, or historic site in Michigan will once again be free or discounted this summer.

The Michigan activity pass will be available this year to Michigan residents with library cards beginning May 24. All residents have to do is either log into their library account online and print out the pass, or stop by their local library and get a pass.

The Michigan activity pass allows free access to Michigan's 102 state parks and 138 state forest campgrounds,along with links to get passes to Michigan's four national parks.

The activity pass also offers free or discounted admission to 170 historical and cultural destinations in Michigan.
