Former Council Member Running for Lansing Mayor

LANSING - Former city council member Harold J. Leeman, Jr., has added his name to the list of candidates for Lansing mayor. Leeman filed to be a candidate Tuesday, just under the deadline. Leeman was the 1st Ward city council member for 12 years before losing his seat in the 2007 election. Other candidates include Donald A. Krepps, John L. Boise, Gene Gutierrez-Rodriguez. Incumbent Virg Bernero made his official announcement Monday. Maryann Prince withdrew her previously submitted candidacy Monday. The general election is November 5, 2013.
