Food Drop Helps Families Fight Summer Hunger

A food drop at Summer Place Townhomes in Lansing is filling a big need in the community.

Wednesday, the city of Lansing, in partnership with 4th and 1 Football Camps, passed out food to struggling families in the southwest Lansing complex. Joan Jackson Johnson, Director of the Lansing's Human Relations and Community Service Department, says the drop comes at a time of year when some don't know where their next meal is coming from.
