DETROIT (AP) -- A Detroit firefighter has been charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of a 41-year-old bar disc jockey during a shootout on the city's west side.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy says 35-year-old Terrill Hardaway is expected to be arraigned Wednesday morning in 36th District Court in Detroit.
Worthy says Hardaway entered the bar on Dec. 29, 2012, and got into a fight with Tony Jackson.
The prosecutor says security guards took the men outside where the fight continued.
Worthy says both pulled handguns and started shooting.
She says Jackson was hit with more than one slug and was pronounced dead at a hospital, while Hardaway was shot in the shoulder.
